I have had to send patients home with getting their procedures done because they did not understand the pre-procedure instructions.  Patients are often given these instructions verbally in the office when they first schedule the procedure appointment.  Many factors such as stress, pain, and language barriers limit their ability to understand and remember the instructions. When patients come in for a procedure and cannot have it done, the quality of our care is drastically reduced and money is wasted. This video was created with audio and text to help patients and consumers understand the steps they need follow in getting ready, to ensure that they can successfully undergo their procedures.
Lessons Learned:

In this assignment, I learned how creating webpage or internet based health tool is different from creating a paper or brochure.  It is important to make website that is adapted to the internet as well as specific target audience. Too much text and too many graphics make it hard to use and navigate around the webpage for useful the information (Eysenbach, 2005).
